| The Joe Payne Band includes members who go back to the 60’s and 70’s. The band has opened for some of the top R&B names, including Kool & The Gang, The Shirelles, Timothy Wilson and Linda Jones. Old school R&B, Funk, Blues and Jazz continue as an integral part of the band’s repertoire. Popular throughout the Tri-state area, the Joe Payne band is available for club dates, weddings, hotels and private gigs. Joe Payne brought with him from Louisiana a heavy “down home blues” influence on guitar. Guy Burton--tenor and alto sax--has been with Joe since the beginning.
